Regional Sales Manager

Position: Regional Sales Manager
Department: AG Sales
Reports to: Senior Vice President
Work Week: Monday – Friday 7am – 5pm with possible overnight or weekend travel occasionally to customers or trade shows.

Demonstrates and sells merchandise and products to customers to promote sales by seeking out new contracts by canvassing an area and stopping at the location of potential customers by performing the following duties.

Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from trade show, work-of-mouth, reading business publications and magazines, or other sources. Request the Sales Secretary to send literature or other correspondence to the prospective customer.
Travels throughout the assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talk with customers on sales floor or by phone.
Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries or equipment. Occasionally may need to repair equipment at customer location.
Attends trade shows, seminars, and internal sales meetings.
Moves sleeve on nozzles to attain specifies spraying pressure and directs nozzles towards articles or materials to be coated.
Displays or demonstrates product knowledge, using equipment, samples, or literature, and emphasizes salable features the customer values.
Quotes prices, or trade-in.
Proofreads quotations, bids, and other correspondence before faxing or mailing.
Monitors return of goods and deals with sensitive inquires or problems.
Follows up on sales transactions and work orders to ensure timely delivery.
Works with other sales representatives to keep account activities up to date, help with sales, and promotes growth and expansion as a company. Team sales approach.
Utilizes Contact Resource Management software to daily log phone calls, demos & maintain recontact schedule and prospect contact information.
Qualified candidates will have a passion for agriculture, farm experience, knowledge of our equipment or similar equipment and a desire to build relationships with area farmers. Prior sales experience is preferred, a class B CDL is required.
