Medical Insurance Our medical plan is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) through Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and we offer 2 medical plans to choose from. Enrollment is voluntary and employees may elect single or family coverage. Insurance premiums are deducted from employee’s paychecks on a bi-weekly basis and are taken out pre-tax. A prescription drug plan is also included in the premium for the medical insurance.
Dental Insurance Employees that participate in our medical insurance plan also have the option to enroll in our Dental plan. Our dental coverage is through Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. SAC pays for the employee’s dental premium and if the employee chooses to add their family, the family premium is deducted on a bi-weekly basis and is taken out pre-tax.
Life Insurance A basic term life insurance plan is available to employees and provided by Sioux Automation Center, Inc. Coverage is also provided to spouses and dependents at no charge to the employee. The employees may purchase additional voluntary term life insurance at discounted group rates for themselves and their family members.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA) While our medical and dental coverage are comprehensive, employees may have some out-of-pocket expenses for such things as co-pays, deductibles and vision services. We also offer a dependent care FSA to pay for dependent care expenses. The FSA allows employees to have pre-tax money deducted from each paycheck to pay for these expenses.
Paid Time Off (PTO) PTO is based on an employee’s years of service at Sioux Automation and carries over from year to year. In addition to their PTO, employees are also given excused time off, which is unpaid time off.
Paid Holidays Paid holidays observed are: New Years, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas.
Mileage Reimbursement Sioux Automation pays employees for driving to work based on the distance they travel. Mileage reimbursement is paid on a monthly basis and is available after 90 days of service.
Sign On & Recruitment Bonuses New employees are eligible for a sign on bonus which is paid in 3 increments. Current employees are eligible for a recruitment bonus when the full-time candidate they referred is hired and completes the recruitment bonus terms.
